LaBante wurde 2009 von Vanita Badlani gegründet, um nachhaltige Luxusaccessoires herzustellen, die damals Mangelware waren. Ziel des Leidenschaftsprojekts war es, vegane Produkte für Menschen bereitzustellen, die nachhaltiger leben, aber nicht auf ihren Stil verzichten möchten.
„Ich glaubte, dass es in der Modebranche eine Lücke bei der Herstellung hochwertiger Produkte gibt, die nicht nur schön und begehrt, sondern auch frei von Tierversuchen und nachhaltig sind und gleichzeitig zugänglich sind“, sagt Vanita über den Grund für die Gründung von LaBante.
LaBante kommt aus dem Sanskrit und bedeutet „wirklich erreichen“, was bedeutet, dass es wichtiger ist, dem Planeten etwas zurückzugeben, als ihm etwas zu nehmen. Und wir glauben, dass wir dem Planeten durch die umfangreiche Produktpalette von LaBante etwas zurückgegeben haben.
Alle Produkte von LaBante sind vollständig vegan und tierversuchsfrei, da wir nicht glauben, dass Tiere bei unserer Modewahl eine Rolle spielen sollten. Wir sind sehr stolz auf die Nachhaltigkeit unserer Produkte. Da Fast-Fashion-Unternehmen so viel Abfall produzieren, wollten wir Produkte entwickeln, die die Umwelt möglichst wenig belasten – und das ist uns gelungen.
Als sozial engagierte Marke spenden wir am Ende des Jahres mindestens 10 % unseres Gewinns an Wohltätigkeitsorganisationen. Darüber hinaus pflanzen wir für jeden verkauften Artikel zehn Bäume, was den Kauf für unsere Kunden im Wesentlichen CO2-negativ macht. Nachhaltigkeit steht im Mittelpunkt der Markenidentität von LaBante.
Als vegane und tierversuchsfreie Marke legen wir großen Wert auf die Auswahl der Materialien, die wir für die Herstellung unserer Luxusaccessoires verwenden. Wir verwenden seit jeher die hochwertigsten veganen Materialien.
Derzeit werden alle Handtaschen von LaBante aus Leder auf pflanzlicher Basis hergestellt und können am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer recycelt werden. Wir verwenden in keinem unserer Artikel PVC – wir sind PVC-frei!
Das Futter der Handtaschen von LaBante besteht aus recycelten Plastikflaschen, die auf Mülldeponien geborgen, in Pellets zerlegt und dann in das Material umgewandelt werden. Um die Kreislaufwirtschaft unserer Produkte zu unterstützen, sind alle Beutel biologisch abbaubar und die Metallverschlüsse an den Beuteln können recycelt werden.
Kürzlich hat LaBante für eine Unisex-Linie von Apfellederschuhen in ein aufregendes neues nachhaltiges Material aus Tirol, Italien, investiert. Die Sohlen bestehen aus reinem Gummi, die Schnürsenkel aus recycelten Plastikflaschen und der obere Teil des Schuhs besteht aus Apfelleder.
Um sicherzustellen, dass die gesamte Produktpalette abfallfrei ist, ist die Verpackung vom Karton bis zum Staubbeutel vollständig kompostierbar und es werden keine neuen Kunststoffverpackungen verwendet. Was ist noch spannender? Wir haben vor kurzem neue Swing-Tags in Produktion genommen, die gepflanzt werden können, um Minze anzubauen!
